This is a very unique and clever form of post rock, drawing influences mostly from shoegaze, classical, and ambient artists. They're on the same record label as Animal Collective, Björk, and Panda Bear, and very deservedly so. While Sigur Ros’ second LP gtis byrjun (A Good Beginning) was released in 1999, the record has rightly gone on to be regarded as one of the more important indie releases of the 21st Century.
